Prayer for a future baseball player

I looked for the patron saint of baseball but could not find one. I looked at the TaoDeChing by Lao Tze to see if there was some wise summary of my thoughts... but no nothing ringed "true" for this topic...so instead I just send out some good Karma wishes for a young man out there - working hard to make a baseball team. For his parents, brother and in particular his mother a quick end to the waiting to-find-out --- would also be nice.
