Taking a page from Jen Gray's amazing blog... here's my list of things I don't like:
I DON'T LIKE:
- Food poisoning
- Mosquito bites
- People who yell at their children in public
- Kids who are disrespectful and wail loudly when they don’t get their way
- Finger nails on a chalk boards
- Dentist drills
- Barking dogs
- Missing deadlines
- When I disapoint someone
- Car alarms (especially at 3AM)
- Knowing when you don’t know something - that you should (like do you know how many supreme court justices there are? there are 9! Can you name them (uh no)...)
- Finding out you were really wrong about someone you trusted
- Thinking of good “comebacks” to insulting comments three days AFTER the insult
- Witnessing suffering of humans/animals/bugs/plants (yes plants -like I hate to see someone cut down a tree)
- Realizing your own prejudices
- People who are loudly against abortion but don't care one whit about the life a person has after they are here
- Suicide bombers
- President’s and governments that are arrogant and lie
But in my blog I've decided that I could write all night about the things I don't like and that's too negative so in addition I have to a the list of things I do like:
THINGS I LIKE:
- Telling my husband that I love him
- Getting hugs from my neices and nephews
- Hot lattes with extra foam
- Talking with my good friends
- Yoga
- Taking a walk in the woods
- Caribbean beaches
- Oreo cookies
- Fresh fruit and veggies (like from the farmers market or picked off the tree by me)
- Warm blankets
- Hot showers
- Getting a massage
- Donating money to my favorite charities
- Helping a lost traveler find their way (nice people who have helped me find my way when I'm in a foreign country)
- Smiling babies
- That my parents are still alive
- That I my body is healthy
- Singing in my car
- When someone makes my life easier (like the nice man who let me go ahead of him in the grocery store cause I only had to buy milk)
- When I can help someone
