Autumn's whisper
Showed up today
When the light of our day shifted in the doorway
Over my shoulder - the breezes moved
From behind instead of
Out front - (it was just March when I felt it move to the front?)
Winter is only a minute away
Enjoy my fleeting warmth
I'm leaving for Australia
Said the sun as it danced on the waters
The sunflower closed up shop
The moon came up and said don't worry so much
Summer will come again
Enjoy these autumn days
I will still follow you
Winter will come soon enough
